EXPLANATION
Somtime during your surfing life, you may have come
across broken or dead links. Why is this so? There are three reasons I could think
of:
1)The host refuses to continue with his site or that part of the site anymore.
2)The host no longer has an account with his ISP--addresses like for example, http://www.skyinet.com/~megamall/mp3.html
are easy candidates for this. For once the subscriber to the skyinet ISP account no longer
contiues to subscribe with them, his page will be dropped and his URL would have changed
and he would have no way of telling you. A clear indication is the ~ sign after the
first address, like ~dragon39 or ~mp3sites, that means, the webmaster does not own the
host. Sites like www.mp3links.com or something
indicates that they have registered their sites with the web and have their own domain
name and would not easily fade away
3)COPYRIGHT problems-yes, sites that contain MP3's, softwarez and cracks you could
download from the net, and anything else "free" but actually licensed are quick
to vanish because of impending lawsuits and copyright violations.
